Login to windows as administrator

How do I get the "Administrator" name on Welcome Screen?

To get Administrator account on the "Welcome Screen" ,

Press "alt-ctrl-del" twice and you should be able to login as administrator

NB :make sure that there are no accounts logged in.

Never allow any one to change the home page..

1. Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select "Properties".

2. In the "Target" box you will see "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE".

3. Now by adding the URL of the site at the end of this it overrides any Homepage setting in internet options:
for eg:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.shareordie.com

advanced search option for getting music through google

Go to Google copy and paste in

?intitle:index.of? mp3


and after mp3 leave a space and put in an artist or album hit enter...
you will get a lists of downloadable mp3s

Another trick:
type this in search bar to find out mp3s movies or whatever you like

for getting files in different format change the name after parent directory

Boot XP fast

Follow the following steps

1. Open notepad.exe, type "del c:\windows\prefetch\ntosboot-*.* /q" (without the quotes) & save as "ntosboot.bat" in c:\
2. From the Start menu, select "Run..." & type "gpedit.msc".
3. Double click "Windows Settings" under "Computer Configuration" and double click again on "Shutdown" in the right window.
4. In the new window, click "add", "Browse", locate your "ntosboot.bat" file & click "Open".
5. Click "OK", "Apply" & "OK" once again to exit.
6. From the Start menu, select "Run..." & type "devmgmt.msc".
7. Double click on "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
8. Right click on "Primary IDE Channel" and select "Properties".
9. Select the "Advanced Settings" tab then on the device or 1 that doesn't have 'device type' greyed out select 'none' instead of 'autodetect' & click "OK".
10. Right click on "Secondary IDE channel", select "Properties" and repeat step 9.
11. Reboot your computer.
